This hardback colour catalogue of a total 120 tsuba, kozuka and fuchi-kashira is selected from a large private collection, hidden away since its formation between the 1920s and the 1950s. It represents quite a wide range of quality, with only a few masterpieces; but is unusually interesting for enthusiasts in that so many of the works included have fascinating old turn-of-the-century provenance. Most are illustrated three or four to the page, in 34 colour photographs.
